Baby Animals

Wow- I realize I’m a little late posting for today.  My Internet at work wasn’t working.  Lol.  Yes- I publish from work, but it really only takes me like 20 seconds to do it.  I totally forgot about it until T walked in and asked me why I didn’t post.  I apologize to my millions of dedicated readers.  It will never happen again!  :)

There is nothing better in the world then a baby animal.  Babies animals are cute no matter what ugly creature they will eventually grow into.

This weekend T and I had a very cool, city-type weekend.  We went to the Houston Zoo, walked around Hermann Park, and went to eat at a cool restaurant.  We’re such cool city people now.

Back to the baby animals.  I love visiting zoos.  It’s such a pleasure to be able to see these beautiful, weird, creepy, animals from all over the world.  If it weren’t for zoos-I wouldn’t even know that some of these animals even exist.  This weekend we had the pleasure of seeing quite a few baby animals throughout the zoo.

I figured a few baby animal pictures would be a great way for all of us to start the week!

baby giraffe

Awww…..  Giraffes are such cool animals.  Pretty weird animals when you think about it.  This baby giraffe is so freakin’ cute.  I love that the barns that they stay in have really tall, skinny doors.  Look at the mom giraffes tongue in this pic.  :)

  baby monkey

If you look closely-you can see the baby monkey clinging to the mom monkeys chest.  I wonder how they can hold on so well when the mom is swinging around.

baby bunny

This little baby bunny was sitting right outside of the zebra enclosure.  I don’t know if baby bunnies this size rely on their mothers for any assistance.  I hope not because I didn’t see a mom bunny anywhere in sight.   Freakin’ cute though!

baby elephant

This is baby Mac.  He was born last year.  He can be seen here scratching himself on a giant bristle brush.  That’s what I’d be doing if I were him.  T absolutely loves baby elephants.  I think they are his favorite animal.  Elephants are awesome animals.  I could have stood and watched baby Mac all day long.  But it was 90 degrees outside and my flesh was starting to cook.

I hope you enjoyed this installment of “Freakin’ Cute Baby Animals.”  Hope you all have a good Monday if that’s even possible.
