I Luv IKEA

IKEA is one of my favorite stores.

Before moving to the hip and cool city of Houston, I had never been to or even seen an IKEA. I had heard about them and knew a few people who had been to an IKEA and knew it was a place I would like. I used to think that I hated shopping, but I’ve come to realize that I only hate shopping for clothing. Home decor and furniture is another story. I don’t have to worry about a how something fits my body, only how it will look in my living room. I’d much rather buy a couch than a swimsuit. That’s fo sho. Next time I go to IKEA, I’m going to do a little photo diary of the trip so that all you non-IKEA people can see how amazing it is. It’s not the highest quality stuff, but the price is right and the style is oh so wonderful. Kinda mod, but still classic type stuff.

T doesn’t really like to go to IKEA anymore because I always find stuff to buy. It’s never anything we need, but I love it none the less. Our last IKEA visit was some time ago and I think we’re about due for another trip. You never know what amazing thing they will have. It may be that one thing that has been missing from my life for the past 22 years.

At our last visit I found this lovely “hook”:

Puppy Butt Hook

This little hook can be purchased for $2.99 at an IKEA near you. I could have taken pictures of the furniture and pillows and tables, but this is just so dang cute. I love it! It’s simple and funky. And it’s the perfect home for Hurley’s leash.

I call it…Orange Puppy Butt.

Those Swedes are so clever.

I’m feeling better. I apologize to my millions of readers for not posting yesterday, I needed a break. But I’m back in the saddle again. Like the song.

T’s Daddy-o is visiting. I’m hoping he does something dumb so I have something interesting to write about soon.

The weather here is amazing. 75 and sunny!!!
