Cop-Out

I’m tired as heck and I don’t feel like using my brain to do a ‘real’ post.  But really what’s the different between random facts and one of my ‘real’ posts?  Have I ever done a real post?  Anywho…

I”ve been tagged again!  This time it was by:  www.mynutvillage.com  Not those kind of nuts silly!  Nuts as in kids.  And she has a crap load of kids.  She lives in the Houston area also!  She also added me to her blog roll some time ago, although I think I guilted her into it by adding her to mine first.  I don’t remember.

Here’s the stips on this tag:  *ya like that?  stips.  I’m so rad.

1.  Link to the person who tagged you  (Check)

2.  Post the rules on your blog  (If I’m not mistaken…I think I’m doing that…right now)

3.  Write 6 random things about yourself.  (I’m the Random Queen)

4.  Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them  (I probably won’t do that..I’m a rule breaker ya know)

5.  Let each person know that you tagged them and link to them in your post.  (see #4)

Ok…here goes.  Or is it here it goes?

1.  I’ve joined the Hot Dog Club.  Not that kind of Hot Dog Club silly!  The Houston Obedience Training club.  It’s a group where crazy dog people can gather and teach their dogs to do agility and composition (Hurley would of course be ineligible for composition) and flyball and other fun stuff.  Before getting to the fun stuff you have to complete a basic obedience class.  I just got done with my first session last night.  Hurley was a star student.  And my hands still smell of liver.

2.  I love to scrapbook.  I have TONS of scrapbooking supplies.  I’ve been into it for several years, but I honestly have only completed about 5 pages in the last year.  I’m blaming it on our small apartment and the fact that I don’t have my own perfectly organized craft room.  Someday I will have a room just for scrapping and crafting and it will be amazing!  And I’ll complete pages chronicling my entire life as well as the life of each of my pets and each of my family members.

3.  I bought the book, Marley and Me, a looooong time ago.  I haven’t even cracked the cover.  I have been telling myself it’s because I’m too busy, but I think the real reason is because I’d rather watch TV than read.  How sad is that?  My library friend, G will be disappointed in me.

4.  I’m addicted to Diet Coke.  And by addicted, I mean I HAVE to have one (or five) every day.  I know that it’s not good for me, but I can’t help it.  I’m sure my stomach lining is paper thin at this moment.  I’ve been an addict for as long as I can remember.  In high school I would have a Diet Coke first thing in the morning.  It would make me feel sick every day.  But I would still have to drink it.  I compare it to those people who can’t function without their coffee.  I don’t drink coffee.  I’m trying to cut back by replacing a pop or two a day with a Crystal Light energy drink mix.  And I did give up pop for Lent one year.  But I won’t be doing that again any time soon.

5.  My Mom (who’s in MI) is currently taking care of my cat, Dora.  T and I got Dora during our senior year of college from an animal shelter in Michigan.  She’s such a wonderful kitty and we both miss her a lot.  She’s T’s little buddy.  He likes our new kitty, Master Chief too, but I think he really does miss Dora.  And since we’re talking about all things boring and mundane today, I’ll explain why that is.  After graduation, I had to complete a 5 month internship.  I didn’t actually graduate till after I was done with my internship.  I did my internship at our local library, so I lived at home with my Mom.  It was fun!  The internship, not the living with my Mom part.  In the mean time, T got a job with a company in Houston and off he went.  Leaving me and Dora behind.  I had all intentions of bringing Dora to Texas when I eventually moved, but that didn’t happen.  My Mom is totally attached to Dora now, she won’t admit it but she is.  So possibly someday Dora will live with me again.  Maybe not.  I don’t know how her and Master Chief would get along.  Here’s a pic of Dora.

She loves Labatts!

6.  I have three Hermit Crabs.  Well, I think I have three.  They are pretty sedentary and all they do is burrow into the sand in their little aquarium.  I never see them move.  Maybe they’re dead.  I bought two of them at a shop in Galveston and them I bought another one at PetSmart.  I read a bunch of stuff about how they have to have a couple friends to really be happy.  So three had to be better than two right?  The term Hermit is actually untrue.  Apparently in the wild, the crabs live in colonies of hundreds.  Who knew?  The crabs don’t have names either.  They are always switching shells, so really there would be no way to tell them apart.  And I don’t want to get too attached.

There….now you know even more random stuff about me!  I’m sure there are a million more questions you’d like to ask me…no?  Since I don’t have any friends, well besides the gal who tagged me…I’m not going to tag anyone else.  If you’re reading this and feel inclined to post 6 random things about yourself link back to me and we’ll be bff’s forever.

****My honey will be home from Africa today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  YEAH!  He would have been home last night, but there was a delay and another delay so he had to spend last night at a hotel in Georgia.

Is it Friday yet!????????

  1. I am with you on the craft room. I will have my own personal room to do whatever I feel like. Then when I buy too many things, I can hide things from the husband. I need a lock on the door, not a regular one…maybe one that reads the palms of your hands. I couldn’t afford that unless I stopped shopping and I can’t do that so until I win the lotto (I can’t win if I don’t play) I am stuck living in our small house with no extra room.
    Happy Thursday! Welcome Home T.

  2. Nicole: Do you scrapbook? If I get my craft room first I’ll invite you over. And brag about it and try to make you jealous. And I agree that a girly craft room would be the perfect place to hide my goodies. Not that I hide any of my purchases from anyone……. :)

  3. I’m so embarassed by that photo!

  4. That book, “Marley and Me” was pretty good. Once you start it, you might want to finish it right away b/c it does keep you interested.
Is that diet coke on the diet Julie????I’m sure once “T” gets home you will be losing some weight, if you know what I mean!!!!!!

  5. My name is Stephanie and I’m a diet coke addict too. I hate it about myself. Its much cooler to smoke or chew.

  6. I do! I just started on my first one. I love it!

Yes, I will act like I am jealous of you and you can secretly hate me because I am a Diet Pepsi girl. Our friendship would never work because of that LOL.

I was hoping you would update us on T…is he alive today?! Hope you have a great weekend!
