Whew…
Tomorrow we can finally get back to our regularly programmed blogging. My life is back in order as I have finally picked up and “read” the entire new catalog from IKEA. Reading an entire catalog front to back takes time and that doesn’t leave much room for anything else.
I know there are some of you out there who may not have ever had the pleasure of visiting an IKEA store. It’s a wonderful and magical experience. I love those clever Swedes. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/
Check out the website, but nothing beats going to the store. And ladies…you CAN take your anti-shopping boyfriend/child with you. They have a child care center with a ball pit and a restaurant that features Swedish Meatballs. T actually prefers the ball pit.
Yesterday I made a little stop to our local IKEA to pick up the new catalog, but I seriously couldn’t resist checking out the new stuff myself. I had to look and touch practically everything in the store. I wrote some of my favorite things down on the handy little paper forms they give you. One: because its stuff I’d totally buy and Two: I felt like I looked like I was actually doing some serious shopping instead of wandering around by myself feeling like a loser. I didn’t buy anything. You would have known if I would have.
And since my T is gone for the next month…I’m back on my regular dieting/exercise schedule. Whenever he’s home it’s so hard to stick to it. He doesn’t get that it’s hard to put on your workout gear and go for a walk while your other half is laying on the couch eating chips and salsa. And I really do feel better (physically and mentally) when I’m eating light/healthy and working out. Monday=BACK AT IT!
I hope you all have a great week!!! I’m hoping to get lots of good news this week via a possible job offer. But I have to wait until FRIDAY to find out! This will probably be a loooooooooong week.
Random Mondayness:
Here’s a couple cool websites that I saw in a magazine:
www.nrdc.org/health/foodmiles This can help you find the nearest farmer’s market and can also tell you what the in-season fruits and veggies are in your state at any time of year.
www.attra.ncat.org/attra-pub/localfood_dir.php This site is similar, but includes local farms, farm stands, orchards, and wineries.
*In my fantasy life I would use these websites religiously as I would only eat organic and prefer to support local growers.
Now where’s my Red Dye #5 Kool-Aid!!!!!????
