As of a few weeks ago, I’ve been an official Fly Baby.  WTF is a Fly Baby you may ask?  It’s a person who has joined www.flylady.net.  It’s a website that gives you advice and instructions about things that help you get organized both in your home and in your life.  You actually have to browse the website and really get into reading the stuff before you can get a grasp on the whole idea of Fly Lady.  There are a few parts that are a little fru-fru, but for the most part I absolutely love it.  If you’re feeling like your life and home is in total chaos-check it out. 

Since starting on this website I’ve been decluttering and organizing our apartment. 

Here’s a sample of a little thing I organized last week. 

T and I love the Crystal Light drink mixes.  You know the powder that you mix in with water?  Of course you know.  For whatever reason I ended up with 87 different boxes of drink mix.

Why would two people need that many boxes of drink mix?  Poor planning on my shopping trips I suppose.  Anyway, they were taking up way too much real estate in our pantry and it looked all messy. 

So I did the obvious and oh so super cute option:

Condensing

I condensed them into a cute little tin.  Now doesn’t that look a billion times better. 

De-cluttering is a great stress reliever and makes you feel better about your home.  If you need to de-clutter but don’t know where to start…check out www.flylady.net.  She gives you “baby steps” that you can do to get rid of the clutter.  It’s a step by step process and although it seems obvious, sometimes I think we need someone to tell us exactly how to do it.  And in the most efficient way!

So go declutter for 15 minutes.  Donate it, throw it out, burn it! 

Fly Lady always says:  If you don’t use it, love it, or need it…then get rid of it. 

Words that I’m going to live by from now on.
