More Good Stuff about Me!
Here’s a few more notes that I received from residents during my last day of work. It was a sad day and I shed a few tears while saying my final goodbyes to the residents. I will miss then but am so so so happy that I landed into that job and was able to meet so many wonderful people! Great memories and good friends!
Dear Julie, I don’t know if you will miss any of us, but I will sure miss you. Please keep in touch with us and best wishes in your new job. Love, —–

Julie, always stay as sweet as you are! May God bless you. We’ll miss you very much!
Here’s a little acrostic poem that a resident wrote me:
J-Joy you brought with you
U-U are one of a kind
L-Lovely disposition and personality
I-Interested in people
E-Energetic and eager to please
Put all those qualities together and it makes one terrific lady. Love, —–
*Isn’t that sweet!
And the real kicker of the day was saying goodbye to my Tilly. Tilly is a 102 year old lady who is still living an independent lifestyle. She’s such a wonderful person and a wonderful inspiration to live a long-healthy life. As I was saying goodbye to her she said, ” I am so thankful that I was able to meet you…” She said something else, but I was crying and all sad. She’s the best! And she has no family so I feel like she adopted me as one of her own. Sometimes old people can annoy me, but sometimes they can enlighten me about our world and how to live a full and meaningful life.
Whew….I’d better stop there before my head explodes with ego-ness.
I am truly grateful for having such a positive experience in my first ‘real’ job after college. I will definately be visiting and volunteering with the old people when I can.
BUT—-it’s time to move on to a new job! I’m nervous and excited to start (on Monday!!!!). It’s never fun to start a new job with new people in a new place. I’m hoping it will get my closer to my overall career goals. What are those goals? I’m not sure, but I think I’m getting there.
My hunny and I are taking off this morning (bright and early) and flying to Tennessee. I love traveling with T! A dear friend is getting married and we’re attending! I’m excited because I love weddings and am glad to get to see our friend marry the woman he loves. Awww. I’m also excited because we will get to spend the weekend with two friends from Michigan who are also attending. We’re meeting up with them at the airport, renting a car, an heading to our hotel room! Fun times!!! T and our friend Ryan are actually in the wedding; which is exciting.
So until life gets back to normal, please follow my updates on Twitter (those little thingies on the right hand side of the blog). I will Twitter from my cell phone when anything interesting happens. I will return to regular blogging on Sunday or Monday. Get ready for some wedding pictures and get a look at that ‘fancy’ dress that I will be wearing. I know you’re excited!! Thanks to my Mommy for sending me a pair of dress shoes that will love ab-fab with my dress!!
Have a nice end of the week/weekend yall!
J
